Technical Cooperation Service Technical Cooperation Service (SERCOTEC) is a Chilean institution responsible for supporting efforts to improve the competitiveness of micro and small enterprises and strengthen the management capacity of these. It is a subsidiary of Corporacion de Fomento de la Produccion (CORFO), established on 30 June 1952. Delivery of advisory services, training and funding (seed capital). SERCOTEC seeks to promote and support initiatives to improve the competitiveness of micro and small enterprises, and strengthen their business management. Thus the action of the Service is ordered around four main areas: – Professionalization: generation and transfer of knowledge and skills to business activities. – Markets: Identify business opportunities to develop new markets.- Associativity: developing skills for network join and act to improve competitiveness. – Information Technology: Developing skills to access the world of ICT. SERCOTEC supports microentrepreneurs from all sectors in the development of business associations and the management of their enterprises through specialized technical assistance and capturing business opportunities, facilitating access to cr and its incorporation into information networks and business support. Only excludes small farmers, because they are supported by Indap. As part of its strategy for promoting the smaller companies, the Service has a support network of institutions and public and private bodies, which makes it possible to offer comprehensive support to companies that want to improve their competitiveness and grow their business.
